Dude. How’d you like a “fuzzy navel”!

We want to start this post with an apology to our friend, “Ploy” whose birthday was on December 25th. With everything going on here, we didn’t do a post on the 25th… and missed Ploy’s birthday. We’re sorry, babe. Shouldn’t have happened. Hope your birthday was wonderful!

. So, as most of you know, December 25th was a very special day here in the K.C. Northland. It was our first Christmas with Dub… the amazing little dude who has become the joy of our lives. And then… there was the WEDDING! On December 25, 2015, our friends Keon and Rick were married here in our home. It was a wonderful day – one we’ll never forget. Here’s how it happened:
– Thirty-seven people signed the guest registry. That included the minister, Dub and the rest of the members of the wedding party.
– Rick wanted the guys in the wedding party to wear suits and ties. It wasn’t a problem for David and me because he has a closet full of suits, ties, dress shirts and stuff he needs because of his work. We’re close enough in size that I didn’t have a problem finding one that fit. I’d thought we’d need to maybe rent a suit for Dub – but a couple of weeks before the wedding I was talking to our neighbor Pam – and she said her sister had a suit her son had only worn for his Church dedication – and she thought it would fit Dub. Long story short, it fit great, but the pants were a bit too long. Pam hemmed them up and they were perfect. She’s a good friend and a SAINT!
A few days before the wedding, David took Dub shopping and they came home with new black tennies, a white dress shirt, a red necktie and some red suspenders. I saw the suspenders and asked Dub what they were for. He said, “Dad says they’ll keep my pants from falling off.” It totally cracked me up. I don’t know when we’ve all laughed so hard.
– The wedding was at six p.m. Keon and Rick got here about 2:30, and everyone else started arriving between 4:00 and 4:30 p.m. The guys all jumped in and brought in folding chairs and set them up in the family room. Caleb and Kerry had picked up the food and they helped us set everything up in the kitchen and dining room.
– The ceremony was short – but beautiful. Keon and Rick had asked David to say a blessing, and he did. Of course, I know my hubby does quite a bit of public speaking – but his blessing totally blew me away. He started it by saying: “The novelist, John Irving wrote ‘We don’t always have a choice how we get to know one another. Sometimes, people fall into our lives cleanly – as if out of the sky, or as if there were a direct flight from Heaven to Earth.’ He talked about love and how two people can form a relationship that becomes so much more than the sum of its’ parts… and ended with a quote from Shakespeare ‘When I saw you I fell in love, and you smiled because you knew.’ I saw my Mom and Sister and a bunch of other people wiping their eyes.
– Dub was the “ring bearer.” A few minutes before the ceremony, Keon gave him the rings. He’d tied them together with red ribbon – and Dub put them in his pants pocket. When the minister asked for the rings, Dub pulled the ribbon out of his pocket and we all kind of panicked because there was only one ring on it. Dub looked at the ribbon – noticed there was only one ring… and shoved his hand back in his pocket and pulled out the other. No problem. Just cool as that.
-All our friends were at the wedding. All four of Dub’s grandparents were there. Rick’s brother was his best man… and his Mother was there. No one mentioned his father, so I don’t know what his absence meant. As expected, no one from Keon’s family came.
-We had a reception following the ceremony with lots of food and drinks. There was a lot of laughing and Holiday cheer and everyone had a wonderful time. Our friend “Matty” is a serious amateur photographer and he must have taken a thousand or more pics. One is sort of my favorite. Toward the end of the reception, I saw David sitting on the top stair that comes up from the lower level. His jacket was off and he looked so cool sitting there holding his drink and smiling. I went over… sat down, and put my arm around him. In about two seconds, Dub was there… sitting between us and grinning. When Matty snapped our picture, we were all in our white shirts and red ties and suspenders… grinning… and just being sappy. Of course, we were happy that Dub’s pants hadn’t fallen off.
We are so blessed. Keon and Rick are our best friends. They’re a beautiful couple. It was a lovely wedding. And a perfect Christmas.

My first, belated congratulations go to Ploy. Happy birthay and best wishes, Ploy!

Second, I would like to congratulate Ricky and Keon, but I doubt they will read this!

Third, I wanted to thank you, David and Ben, for your detailed report of the events at the wedding! I was sort of moved by reading, and it must have been a memorable event in the life of all persons present. It’s really a pity we will never see neither the just married pair nor little Dub during the ceremony!

    Anyway, great story!

And great pics, as I am a fan of hairy navels!

Belated happy birthday to Ploy!! 🙂

Great account of the Wedding!! Very sweet and nice!! 🙂

As for the post… Saw it coming ever since you hinted at it a few days ago!! 🙂

And you had me from the git… #1 is cute, adorable, fun, sexy & hot!!

    Back later…

I am jealous of “Matty” —- ‘Serious amateur photographer’ was MY (fantasy) role at the wedding! The FAMILY picture of David and Ben with Dub in between sounds priceless. Maybe enlarged and framed and mounted in the family room it will become a life-long keepsake.

I really appreciate the generous sharing of your life-story — a feeling that I’m sure is shared among all us fans of URD and the CCC!!!!

Don’t let those pants fall off! (by accident) (-:

I am with everyone on the wedding report. Jingle calls it “sweet and nice” and Bill S calls it “generous sharing”. Rick and Keon are so blessed to have friends like David and Ben. And Dub is priceless!

Proving I can be attracted to older, harrier guys and not just smooth twinks, I like 18, 31, 35, 42 and 46. All handsome and sexy. Have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve everyone.

Happy Birthday, Ploy! All the best to you!

So glad to know that the wedding was a wonderful event just as I had guessed! Everybody joyful and having a great time — exactly what such a special occasion should be about!

As for this post… I LOVE the new theme, especially because it came along with ‘hairy’! 😀 These fellas are so damn hot and sexy that it’s extremely difficult to choose among them! I’ll point out #2/13 (back from the “bush contest” post, and the second pic is new to me — thank you for it!), 7, 9, 14, 15, 16 (not forbidden, right?), 18, 20, 29, 32, 36, 38 (Tommy Defendi, a well-known favorite of mine), 40, 42, 46 (great brows and furry legs) and 48 (also back from the “bush contest” post — and unforgettably delicious!). Most of them would be an automatic choice any day, but today I feel like going with #29!

Outstanding post! Goes to my list of favorites!

Ben & David and all my friends: I wanna wish you and all your beloved ones a totally awesome 2016, filled with Health, Love, Peace, Joy and Pleasure! Love you, guys!

    Hugs all around,

    • Roberto

P.S.: I hope Keon was not upset about the absence of his family. I have no background on them, but, if they can’t be happy for him being in love and happy, I can only feel sorry for them. Quite fortunately, he has an awesome partner and awesome friends like you!

I’m still trying to catch up, and was feeling very sad for Keon until I read Beto’s comments, and as always, he says exactly the correct thing. Things like this are hard to forgive or forget, so it’s their loss. I wish the best for Keon and Rick, and I am so pleased it turned out great and everyone had a good time. And that picture will be more and more special as the years go by.

A fantastic post to close 2015…48 awesome pictures and wonderful details of the wedding! This is why URD is a unique blog with many followers… 🙂

Happy Belated Birthday, Ploy! Hope you had a great day… 🙂

Regarding the photos, all of them are fabulous! (I can’t think of a non H2T post that I liked more this one… 😉 ) I can see myself cuddling up with all of these guys on cold nights… 😉

    I concur with Jingle’s assessment of #1, Beto’s “Dude of the Day (#29), and Larry’s #35… 😉

I want to wish David, Ben, Dub, and all of my URD friends a happy and safe 2016!

  • Denny

Ben, you have such an eloquence in your writing, such a knack for description, I feel as if I was at the wedding myself!

A few highlights that stand out: Pam, with the suit for Dub – even hemming it!! – she is, and no doubt will continue to be, as you say, a saint!

Dub and the second ring: nothing fazes that lil dude! no sweat, no hassle. Dub is on the job. ;-))

And David with the blessing. He found just the right things to say; no wonder there were a few happy tears!! Hey Ben – you DO know you’re married to a prince, right? AWRIGHT!!

And the photo of David Ben and Dud – “The Family” — I totally agree with Bill. That’s a family heirloom, right from the beginning. Put one in Dub’s room. Have wallet size copies made your wallets. Put one in David’s office. THAT is a treasure!!

Okay, let’s switch the pitch here. So many of these guys are such gorgeous creatures!!

Let’s get to my Dude of the Day. It looks like everyone passed him up and I get him all to myself? It’s #3. He’s hot. I like his hairy pecs. I like his fuzzy treasure trail. And from what I can see of him below the waist, he looks like he might be smuggling puppies.

My back-up hottie is #5.From what I can see, he’s got it all, including the guns. And what I can’t see, I’m sure he wouldn’t disappoint. Yum. Yum.

Happy belated Birthday to Ploy! I hope you will find several guys here in this post to help you celebrate your day.

And my very best wishes for a Happy 2016 to David and Ben, and all the Constant Comment Crew members, and to all those guys out there who enjoy this very special blog.

    • Jingle

Hey Denny, I agree that your #3 is hot, VERY hot; but he’s not “smuggling puppies” below the waist… Check out #24 if you’d like to see what he has below the waist!!

      Love ya, brother!! 🙂

Echo the Happy Belated B Day to Ploy. You guys served him up a fine bunch of gifts in this wonderful post. You had me at Fuzzy!

Sounds like a good time was had by all at the Wedding. Your detailed description was much appreciated by us “Arm Chair Observers” of your fabulous lives. Newly Weds Keon and Rick had a wonderful start with loving friends and family. May their joy increase over the years. Do I ever agree about having that picture of the three of you guys around for a very long time. I say again, enjoy this now, as POOF, he will be grown. Mine (Ours) was 28 inches long when I first saw him and all of 12 pounds. Now he is 6feet 2 inches and can toss me in the air at will. It will happen before you know it. Honest. Here’s to even more to come in 2016 and best to all of you and yours!!

  • Jingle

Amazing collection and post!! More than a few of these guys are nothing short of magnificent!!

Nasty crazy scary hot #8 gets special props for being the only dude in this fantastic set that has a pierced navel!! (I have my navel pierced… Do any of you guys??)
I want a drink of insanely hot #33’s milk!! WHOA!!!!!
Keeping today’s topic, and anatomical perfection, in sharp focus; the Trophy for Best Navel goes to… #41!!

As much as I do love my sweet #1, I can’t deny the many charms of screamin’ bangin’ hot badass selfie #28!! WOW!! (And check out what he has on his dresser among his hats!!) I’m faced with the Good Guy versus Bad Boy dilemma again… I’d better just take them both!! 🙂

  • Anthony

    Happy Birthday Ploy!

So many hot furry guys… I can’t get enough!

Jingle is right, #1 is so damn cute!
    I’m with Beto on #7 and #46.
#46 is also a cute/hot dude. Larry and Beto know what’s up 😀

    I’ll add #8, #13, and #19 to my list.

Wonderful to hear Keon and Rick had a great happy day!

  • red

    What a wonderful post!

The pics are, as always, wonderfully chosen – but your words touched me so much more! All the best to you, your family, and your friends! And all the best for 2016!
