Dude. Check it out. “Balls ‘n boners in Black ‘n white”

Hey, guys. It’s Ben. Summer is in full swing here at the lake and it’s pretty cool. Chad and I had talked about taking a summer school break… and mentioned it to the kids. The idea did not appeal. Dub said “If we take the summer off, we might fall behind.” I didn’t bother to tell him that all the kids are ‘way beyond grade level and some time off wouldn’t be a problem for them. Anyway, we kind of compromised. We’re doing half days at school this summer (8:30 a.m. until noon), which gives us all afternoon and evening to enjoy swimming, boating, fishing and whatever. At least the kids won’t “fall behind” 🙂

“Just an April fool”?

Hey, guys. It’s Keon. I enjoyed Ben’s recent “mono pits” post so much that I decided to do one myself. Whether hairy – or not so much – ain’t nothin’ better than a dude’s pits!

I know a lot of people have been offended by “Dr. Oz’s” appearance as a guest host on Jeopardy. I can understand that. On the other hand, I think “Dr. O” may be onto something. I mean… if the conversion therapies he’s promoted on his t.v. show can change a homosexual dude into a straight one… I’m thinking maybe they could change a black dude into a white one. That’s pretty exciting. Heck. I wouldn’t mind being white for a change. Maybe I’ll become a republican? Or maybe “Dr. O” is just a money grubbing huckster and I’m an April fool 🙂 xoxo Keon (and Rick)

A “grand day” with the grands!

Hey, guys. Wanted you to know we had an awesome day with the grandparents on Saturday. It rained all day so we were forced to stay inside, but Alex had reserved the Koala Cove clubhouse so it was all good. There were lots of hugs and a few tears and a whole bunch of catching-up chatter. It was David’s birthday so we all sang to him and, of course, Jim and Carol brought hand-crank ice cream and angel food cake stuffed with strawberries for his special day. At one point, we had four cornhole games going at the same time. It was a “GRAND time” after much too long a separation from the ones we love. The pandemic for sure isn’t over – but for one glorious day, it sure seemed like it was.
