Here you go, dude. It’s the “Ins and outs” of mens underwear!

We thought that if we were going to do a post on the “ins and outs of mens underwear,” we should do a little on-line research on the U.S. market. In 2019, the U.S. men’s underwear market was estimated to be around 4 billion dollars. It’s projected to grow to 6.2 billion by 2027. We read tons of surveys and studies and came up with the following best guess on the popularity of men’s underwear in the United States, by type:
Boxer Briefs: 4l.8%
Boxers: 21.8%
Briefs: 18.4%
Other: 18.0% (Includes jockstraps, g-strings, bikini briefs, trunks, long johns
and “going commando”).
Although we’re not easily shocked, we were surprised to read the results of a recent Tommy Johns survey of 2,000 men that indicated they wear their underwear “two or more days” before changing. An amazing 13% of respondents admit to wearing the same pair of underwear for a week or longer. (We won’t tell Dub. He’d be totally grossed-out).
Men’s underwear prices vary dramatically, of course. The most expensive we’ve run across is Versace’s Barocco Anomalies Brief at $150. per pair. On the other end of the price spectrum, Amazon offers a 9-pack of Fruit of the loom briefs for $15.98, or $1.78 per pair. David says $150. Versace briefs are God’s way of saying “You have too much money.” 🙂 Each American male is believed to own 12 pairs of underwear, on average. (This number would be skewed by our friend Alex – who Cal swears owns not less than 100 pair).
So, that pretty well covers the “Ins and outs of men’s underwear.” The photos below may help to explain the item’s popularity.

Dude. It’s a “Friends Friday” Triptych!

There hasn’t been a “triptych” post here on URD since March, 2017, so Keon and I thought it was probably time for another. This one is quite different in that all these pics are of professional site models. We just took the “naked and not” theme and added butt pics. We included a wide variety of dudes so there’ll be something for everyone. It was fun putting this together and we hope you guys will enjoy it.

This has been an interesting weekend for the kids (and us). David and Ben took off on their Harleys Thursday afternoon – headed for the Lake and a little “one on one time” to celebrate their anniversary. They’re the most happily married people we know… and are an inspiration to us all.
Dub, Buzz and Bebe spent Thursday night at our house – then Dub, Tra, Chance and Austin all spent Friday night at Alex and Cal’s (the pups are still staying with us). Now, the boys – plus Bella – are at Ty and Damien’s place for a “movie night sleepover” in their media room.
I’m sure Ben and David will tell you all about their anniversary weekend when they get back home.
We love them and hope they’re having a WONDERFUL weekend!
xoxo Rick and Keon

Dude… let’s see what you been hidin’ under there!

I’ve been thinking a lot about blogging since Tumblr announced they would ban all adult content effective December 17th. I’ll take them at their word that they’re doing this because they’re unable to control posts of “child pornography and forced prostitution.”
Hey, they have deep pockets (they’re owned by Verizon) – and it’s their platform, so they can do what they want. Besides, it’ll still be a great place to share things like… the secret ingredient that makes your Aunt Maybelle’s cornbread so gosh-darn yummy… or a news flash about the big sale Hobby Lobby is having on plastic poinsettias starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow!
Here’s the thing. I started blogging about nine years ago, and I’ve had blogs deleted by Flickr, Blogger (5 times) and now Tumblr – all because of “adult content.” I feel badly for Tim and Denny and Cal and Alex and the thousands (millions?) of other guys who’ve put a lot of time, effort and love into their Tumblrs – and now see them go “poof.” But “Fuck ’em.” Guys are endlessly resourceful and there’s still gonna be a TON of gay porn on the internet. And, of course, there’s still gonna be UnrulyDude. We’re still gonna be posting and we’ll still be a community of guys who like looking at naked dudes and sharing stuff. And that’s really what matters. xoxo David
