Dude. It’s a Friends Friday peek into Rick’s “whatever” folder!

Hey, guys. It’s Rick. I think maybe it’s time for a “Friends Friday” post – on Friday 🙂
These pics are from my “whatever” folder… a place where I put pics I run across on the web that “do it for me” for WHATEVER reason. They make a nice variety and I hope you like them as much as I do. xoxo Rick and Keon

It’s Friday night and the kids are all in Springfield – spending a few days with the grandparents. It’s so cool they’re finally getting to do that… after all the covid crap.
The grands have big plans for the visit. Fantastic caverns, Discovery center of Springfield, Wonders of wildlife museum and aquarium and more. They’ll be bringing the kids back Monday in time for the big Labor Day (Bella Day) celebration.
While the kids are away, we “adults” have some plans of our own. Tomorrow night, we’re going to go over to the “rainbow aerie” for a cookout and some fun in the giant hot tub. Then, Sunday evening, we’ll be at David and Ben’s place for dinner and some hot tub fun of a somewhat more intimate nature.
We’ll be missing the kids, but, hey… some time for getting naked and stoned and dipped in the hot tubs is pretty fuckin’ cool 🙂
We hope all of you have wonderful, safe, happy Labor day holidays. We wish you good health and time with friends and/or family as the days get shorter and summer begins to fade away. We love you!

It’s a “Friends Friday” peek into Rick’s “whatever” folder!

Hey, guys. It’s Rick. Sorry I didn’t get this posted yesterday so it would have been “Friday,” but I’m often a day late. “Whatever” posts are my favorite because they’re fun and can be absolutely anything. Hope you enjoy the variety!

We’ve been closely following the “Respect for Marriage Act” recently passed by the House of Representatives:
“House Moves to Protect Same-Sex Marriage From Supreme Court Reversal.
The legislation, which garnered some Republican support, would recognize same-sex marriages at the federal level. It faces an uncertain path in the Senate.”
Travon asked Keon and me what it would mean if the Supreme Court “did away with gay marriage”. We told him we’d be just as married as ever… no matter what a bunch of bigoted old farts in Washington decide. We didn’t tell him it’d mean we wouldn’t live in Missouri any more because he’s our son and and we love him and wouldn’t upset him unless/until it’s necessary.
We’re cautiously optimistic that the 71% of Americans who support gay marriage will force at least 10 Republicans to support the legislation in the Senate. We can always hope 🙂
Much love. Rick and Keon

Dude. It’s time for another visit to Rick’s “Whatever” folder.

Hey, all. It’s Rick. Been a while since we visited my “whatever” folder, so I thought it was time.
We got some excellent news yesterday. On Friday, the grandparents will be two weeks beyond their second covid shot – so they’re coming to the lake next Saturday. It’ll be David’s birthday so we’re planning a party over at the Koala Cove clubhouse. Ben asked the kids what they wanted to eat at the party and they all said fish tacos and fried ice cream. So, Keon and I have planned the menu and all the guys will bring food. Since it’ll be his birthday, David won’t have to cook for a change 🙂
Travon is so excited about seeing the grands he’s beside himself. Pop-Pops is one of his favorite people in the whole world, but he’ll have to share him with Dub and the other kids.
We hope you guys are all well and happy and vaccinated. Maybe we’ve turned the corner and will eventually get back to a (somewhat more) normal world!
xoxo Rick and Keon
