Dude. Happy National grab some nuts day!

On July 15th, our buddy “Tim” commented: “The last ‘Grab Some Nuts Day’ post dates back to August 2017. After this Bulge post, would it be appropriate to request a follow up ‘Grab Some Nuts Day’ post?”
Well, of course it’s appropriate, Tim. It’s our bad for not honoring this important day for the past 4 years. As you guys undoubtedly know, “Grab some nuts day” is a major National holiday that should be celebrated by …ummm… grabbing some nuts.
Anyway, when we got Tim’s request, the first thing we did was fire off an e-mail to Beto asking for help. And, boy… did he ever come through. The first 24 pics here are from Beto and the remaining 24 are from David’s and my “grab some nuts” folders.
So THANK YOU, Tim – and THANK YOU, Beto. You guys are awesome. Now, guys, lets all get out there and “GRAB SOME NUTS”!

Dude. Check out these “balls ‘n bones” !

Beto’s comment about the “beautiful balls” on a dude in our last post got us thinking about… well… uh… BALLS. So we checked, and it’s been over a year since we devoted a post to “the boys.” So, here we go… “balls ‘n bones.” What could be better than that? !

It’s been crazy busy around here lately. The last day of this school term is tomorrow and it’ll be nice to have time to enjoy being outdoors and out on the lake.
Dub and Chance have still been working with Alex and Nathan, getting furniture ready for the Hawks nest. Alex says everything is coming along nicely and notes that Dub has become a “wizard” with the spray gun.
We’re pleased the FDA has approved a “booster shot” of the Pfizer covid vaccine for kids age 5-11. We’ll be going to Springfield next week to get the kids boosted. Of course while we’re there we’ll meet up with the grandparents for lunch from Pizza House. What a wonderful way to start the summer!
We hope you guys are having nice weather and enjoying being in the great out of doors. Much love to you all. xoxo Ben and David

Dude. Check out these testicular treasures!

Hey. It’s Ben. “Dr. C” called me last week and said he’d like to come down to the lake for a visit. I told him that’d be great. He came on Thursday and observed at our school all day. After school was over, he told me “Ms. Evelyn” had contacted him and offered to donate an 80 acre plot of land for a new school. So, we got Jim and went over and looked at the land and Jim said “Holy shit. This 80 is prime property. It’s worth a small fortune.”
So… we have a site for our new “Table Rock campus” (as Dr. C calls it). Tonight, I’m not sure how I’m feeling about the whole thing. I mean, I’ve always known we’d have a “real school” down here someday and that’s good. On the other hand, what Chad and I have been doing is “home schooling” the kids and we’ve been quite successful at it. All the kids are performing far above their grade levels – and honestly, how many 9 year olds do you know who are reasonably proficient in English, Spanish, French and ASL?
Having said that, I read that Pfizer has started clinical trial testing its Covid-19 vaccine on healthy children aged 6 months to 11, and we know the pandemic will be over some day. We have a waiting list of kids and can handle several more in our current building. Our kids will be excited to have more students in our school and it’ll be an opportunity to further develop their social skills. Of course it’ll be at least a couple of years before we have a building over on the new site.
Lots of changes on the horizon… but for now, we’re just hoping for some nice, warm weather so we can get the boat out of storage and get out on the lake!
